10 to 10 in Delhi
10 to 10 in Delhi
I visited ‘10 to 10 in Delhi’ – an Indian cafe in Newington – a few months ago. I don’t think I ever uploaded any of my pictures from it before.
It’s quite lovely – nice food and hot drinks, and comfy with a pleasantly chilled out atmosphere. They’ve really gone out of the way to make it seem desi, from the language used in the menu to the drapes and Bollywood memorabilia covering the walls. It verges on kitsch, and it could quite easily have been Irish-theme-pub annoying, but it’s more authentic than that and they actually pull it off pretty well.

I love the riotous sense of color in the photo. The beautiful colors in the foreground re such a stark contrast to the food counter in the back.

This is the set piece for a group of photos known at MY HATS, If you click the photo, it will take you to the photostream where you can find the rest of the hats. If lucky, you will heart the song that goes with it.

Snow
so enjoyed the snow here (Texas) that I just couldn’t stop snapping the photos. I even ran outside without my shoes on:) I was afraid it would stop snowing. It is obvious, that I grew up with snow and miss it so much.

No Direction
This morning I woke up and headed out to catch a sunrise again, with no real direction. I had no real plans….. Maybe try here…. Maybe try there….. All I knew was I wanted to get out and watch the sun come up as last nights storm cleared out.
There is no real “story” to this image. I’ve passed this pier a few times, and knew a sunrise would be good from here, but Its not really on my way to work, and I have to pass through San Francisco to get here. So basically, I get caught up waiting for sunrise from some other place. But this morning I wanted to get to a place that I have yet to shoot from.
touch of color
Another view of Prospect Park station, this one with a touch of color and a snow scene. From this morning while I was on the way to the city. The last shot I posted from this location was a hit so here’s another view.

It is hard to tell, that my necklace that came off of my neck in frustration during a particularly fretful photoshop experience, has been left hanging on the edge of my laptop. For those in my 365 group,, the gemstones in the necklace are citrines on the side where you cannot see them, and the one you see is a very light amethyst. Enjoy. Oh, the blue edge on the left side is the bill of my baseball cap.

I have a collection of hats. My collection dates back to when I started collecting in the early 80’s, but I have hats, felt, wool, Men’s Fedora’s, etc. that date back to the 1920’s. I wear them all the time, although I’m sure people think I look a little strange wearing a hat that my great grandfather would have worn.
