The silent moves of the beautiful dancers,
Unseen, yet unforgettable.

The setting black offsets the blue
I only see them leaving
Which door do they go through?

You’re so far Away

We started off as friends who had

such fun in everything we tried to do

The years wentt by, but there was
A change in things important to you
Where once, importance was on a happy couple
Which we were for a time, though not long enough
Now thoughts are on what you have to accomplish
Everyone else’s life more important – for me just tough luck.
I used to know every thought in your head
You used to be able to quote what I said
You heard every word, you’d brag to me
Because what I said then important, now dead
I’ve been in this place before, when my words
Were ignored, as if what came out was of
No more importance than the kitchen door
I won’t allow it to happen, no longer a dove
To be shoved around with words and attitudes
And looks of disgust that cut to the heart
This time the heart is more brittle
And won’t take the many darts
It will break into a thousand pieces
If I let this go on.  I can’t do that and survive
My inner strength rebels to strongly
To let it happen again.
I will be treated with respect
Or not treated at all
But this time around
It won’t be me who falls
.

Can’t move another inch.

I’ve seen so much
My mind’s a whirl
But my body’s in a pinch.

If only my body
Could keep up with my mind
I’m sure I’d never flinch.

Myself’s in a bog
Together we’re a crunch.
